Consulting 101: 101 Tips for Success in Consulting

This program is based in the writings of Lew Sauder, author of  Consulting 101: 101 Tips for Success in Consulting. I was so impressed with this book and the way Lew guides new and experienced Consultants and Service Professionals through story’s, anecdotes and hard facts, that I approached Lew to narrate the book and produce it in Audiobook format.

By the time this podcast goes live the book should be available on Amazon, and iTunes as a printed, ebook and audiobook.

On completion of the audiobook and with a collection of other material available, Lew and I decided to produce a podcast program to share information and build a community of Consultants and other Business Service Professionals. We invite you to listen, contribute and engage through and we welcome guests on the show so please, make contact and we hope we can talk to you on a future episode.

Also available as an audiobook – Get it for free today!

In this first episode, I talk to Lew about the book, his motivation for writing Consulting 101 and who is the primary audience. Here’s some of the questions Lew addressed:

    1. Lets start with the Book – How did you come to see a need for Consulting 101? – Was it mostly from the lack of early knowledge in your career or observations of others?
    2. Who will benefit from  information in the book? New Consultants and Professionals or Experienced Professionals?
    3. Will this apply to all situations of consulting? Engineering, Business, Accounting etc?
      1. Explore other professions – Law, Retail…
    4. What are some of the key areas where people error when starting out in consulting?
    5. What is the biggest blunder you, or someone you knew has made?
    6. The book includes quite a few ‘Case Studies‘ – How did you come up with and recall the story’s and tips to use in the book?
    7. I assume the names have been changed to protect the innocent…. as well as the guilty, but how close are these anecdotes to ‘real life’?

Join us next week and Lew and I will bring you a discussion on Fears of Consulting. If you would like to participate in future programs, please contact us via the link on or call the feedback line and leave a voice message.
